Branding | Restaurante Chiquita

Project Overview
Project: Chiquita Restaurant

The client wants to open a restaurant in the area known as Little Havana in Miami. Little Havana is Miami's vibrant Cuban hub, including Latin American art galleries and busy restaurants. Cafes with takeout windows sell Cuban coffee to smoking customers. On Calle Ocho, residents discuss political issues during domino games at Parque Maximo Gomez (called Parque Domino). The historic Tower Theater screens independent and classic films, while area clubs feature live Latin music.

There are many roosters in various settings and shapes, as representative elements of the place. This is because for Cubans the rooster has 2 meanings. The first refers to money. And the second to a new dawn, a hope of finding a new day. It means Freedom for emigrants.

After carrying out my research, I have concluded that the client wants to generate more than a restaurant, a whole experience of friendship between the local culture and visitors from various places in the world, where the time they are there, whether long or short, is feel comfortable and relaxed: like at home; having a special moment that they will carry with them for a lifetime, and perhaps a long-term friendship.

Key elements:
Brunch - Dinner with live music
Create a safe space to live together - Community tables
Market analysis: Some similar restaurants on Miami Beach
Moodboard: Little Havana
Photographic style: Outdoor - Close up - Warm filter
Local moodboard: Colorful and tropical details - Spotlight garlands - Wicker and wood furniture - Murals
Keywords: Connection - Warmth - Joy - Friendship - Chill out
