The pieces made of textile waste were developed through the discipline of Experimental Fashion. We received bags of textile waste from the LaFort brand, which would be discarded, with various types of fabrics and among all the options we chose technoblock, suede and knitted interlining. After choosing fabrics, we developed a technique to create a fabric only of all the small pieces we collect, prioritizing the original shapes of the fabrics, in order to optimize the production time. We made a kind of "sandwich" in which the interlining is at the ends and the small pieces in the middle for when the iron passes over the fabrics stick to each other and, to get even flatter, we use the straight machine to make random points on the surface.

It is important to emphasise that the technique used can be made with various types of discarded fabrics and, as it is easy to be made, it can become a source of income for people in economic or social vulnerability, making possible an insertion of these artisans in the creative economy.
