POLITE FICTION
The inspiration comes from my daily social life.
In many countries, whether we are facing relatives, friends, or unfamiliar people, we often need to speak some polite words.
Sometimes speaking may be simply for the sake of politeness, or to express you politely without hurting feelings, and sometimes it may be another way of being polite.
Many adults are familiar with social rules, they can speak naturally, and they are also familiar with the meaning behind every polite phrase.
However, more and more young people are not used to social expressions in society. They don't say it, and they don't like to say it, but they have to say it when society demands it.
The project focuses on some ridiculous and awkward situations that arise because they do not understand the meaning behind the polite words that others say.
I use simple lines and strong colors to express and use the 3D form of paper carving as the four of my final presentation, which is closer to the real person's image, more interesting, and can also resonate during the display.
This project is a personal piece, completed in 2019.
