Events and sponsorships is another area of expertise where there are a variety of opportunities to collaborate and leverage off other brands. At Miladys, I had the opportunity to be one of the headline sponsor partners for one of the biggest women's events in the country and part of the package was a speaking engagement at the event as well as sponsoring all clothing and accessories for female hosts and presenters. We dressed the likes of radio and television presenter, Liezel van der Westhuizen; renowned Chef and restauranteur Siba Mtongana and Editor-in-chief at Good Housekeeping magazine, Sally Emery. During my time at the Decofurn Group, we hosted The Santa Run for three consecutive years as headline sponsor and leveraged a great deal of publicity through the event via Independent Newspapers and its various publications. The event was was a resounding success and as the main sponsor, The HUB was also to gain exposure by branding the different spaces and also donating prizes. There was also a great deal of coverage by other sponsors such as East Coast Radio and Aquelle.
