The Pearson Global Forum 2023

The Pearson Global Forum serves as a vital platform, bringing together the world's foremost thinkers and influencers annually to address pressing issues surrounding conflict prevention, resolution, and recovery. Through fostering dialogue among diverse academics, policymakers, and stakeholders, the Forum not only elevates research findings but also facilitates the collaboration necessary to propel scholarly advancements.

In 2023, the overarching theme of the Pearson Global Forum was Disparity, a concept that guided our creative process. Inspired by this theme and two aerial photographs provided by the client, we embarked on a journey to develop a brand and visual identity that encapsulated the essence of the Forum.

Our approach was multifaceted and carried a deep reverence for the realities we seek to address. Firstly, we abstracted human elements using geometric shapes, symbolizing the complexity and diversity inherent in discussions of disparity. Secondly, we employed abstract landscapes adorned with thin, hand-drawn topographic lines to highlight the disparate conditions captured in the photographs and ground the shapes into context, maximizing visual impact.

Sophistication was achieved through the strategic use of negative space, allowing elements to breathe and command attention. A full-color palette was meticulously curated, leveraging intentional color choices to create high contrast between titles and body text, enhancing readability and engagement.

Thus, the visual identity of the Pearson Global Forum was crafted through a lens of information visualization & visual hierarchy to align seamlessly with the house style of the institute and encapsulate the complex narratives around this year’s theme. Our deliverables encompass a comprehensive suite of collateral designs, spanning print and digital mediums, as well as social media templates.
