Living In Our Nation (LIONs) seeks to highlight di yutes, or the LIONs of this generation living in Jamaica.
LIONs draw attention to their unique way of dress, body language, friends, and style.
The aesthetic utilizes illustrated graphics to place the characters in environments that help draw attention to who they are.
LIONs should help to highlight the identity and culture of modern day youth, both visually as well as socially.
Not just for today, but for the future to look back and understand what it was like when Living In Our Nation.
POSTERS
The poster aspect of the LIONs project is a format in which I was able to highlight some archetypes found in jamaica. These Posters also herald and put focus to popular youth archetypes in contemporary jamaica.
PHOTO INSERTS
The Photo inserts seek to add conetext to the LIONs.
Brinigng the LIONs into real life scenarios helping viewers to understand the social workings of contemporary jamaican youth.
Exhibition
An Exhibition was held at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (Kingston, Jamaica),
on June 7th 2014, where the LIONs Project was on display for two weeks.
