The outsole consists of a variety of lug sizes that all serve specific purposes. The sharp lugs in the forefoot dig into soft surfaces, perfect for steep uphill sections of an ascent. The larger flat lugs in the rear are multidirectional and ideal for wet environments due to the larger surface area. 

The upper is primarily comprised of water resistant Ripstop with durable nylon accents. This combined with the rand that wraps around the toe box allows the user to explore any environment. 

The lockdown system is comprised of three crucial mechanisms. The laces, heel cup and the wrapping net. As the user tightens the laces the entire shoe compresses to conform to the foot. While approaching challenging terrain this keeps the user safe from unwanted slippage.  

I modeled the shoe using Gravity Sketch as I could quickly and precisely ideate on the go while in VR. I then took the model into Fusion 360 where I added the outsole and separated the materials.

Finally, I took the model into KeyShot and rendered it.
