On the project: The Dog That Goes Out at Night is a picture book for children written by Jurga Vilė, illustrated by Valentina Černiauskaitė and published by 700 eilučių in 2023 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The story focuses on the present and past life of Moon – a dog that only goes out at night. Meanwhile the publication takes readers through the journey over one night, a handful of incidents and sub-stories are woven into the main narrative. The book ponders over relationships in a larger sense, including love and friendship, past and memory, and on one's connection to them.
