ADVE2292 GDP: Project 2 Brand Guidelines
For the second part of the semester-long tourism project, I was tasked with creating a brand guidelines document for the India Office of Tourism. These guidelines describe the requirements for things like logo usage, color schemes, and typography for the brand.

Moodboards
To start, I looked for examples of brand guide layouts and other types of page spreads like magazine pages and book pages. 
Margin/Grid Examples
After finding inspiration, I got some practice by observing how other designers use grids and margins in their work. I brought two magazine pages into InDesign and experimented with the margin and grid settings until they mostly matched up with the elements of the pages. This helped me to better understand how margins and guides are used when creating layouts.
Content Plan
Next, I started sketching out some plans for the pages and layout of the brand guidelines.
Type Exploration
After creating some rough layouts, I started testing out typeface pairings for the headers and body text. I decided to go with Anona Extrabold and Anona Medium for the headings and subheadings, and Monsterrat Light for the body text.
Process
I started by setting up the bleed, margins, and grids on my InDesign document. I referred to my content plan drafts to decide how to lay out the contents of each page. Next, I made the logo don’ts and clear-zone graphics in Illustrator. I decided on what color scheme to use by taking inspiration from one of the photos from my moodboard for Project 1. I set up paragraph styles so that I could edit the text easily and efficiently. I made sure that the elements would line up nicely with the guides. Lastly, I made a few simple mockups of ways that the logo could be used in real life.
