As part of the 45th anniversary celebration, I designed a deck of affirmation cards of 45 gems of wisdom collected from our membership. The design is inspired by the 2023 theme, Shine Through: Shaping a Brilliant Future.
45 years symbolizes a sapphire anniversary. Sapphires are exceptionally high on the hardness scale, leading to great strength and durability. They are also quite brilliant.
This sapphire anniversary celebrates the brilliance of resilience as we move forward out of the darkest times during the height of the pandemic. We celebrate the effort, wisdom and strength that shine through our people, our members who light the way forward.
To shine through we have to leverage the best practices and principles from yesterday, strive to be our best today and lead innovation into the future. We take our wisdom and strength and, like a gemstone, shape it into a brilliant future. This celebrates both the NCSBN values and vision.
Each deck of wisdom is packaged in a blue velvet pouch with a custom printed pin. Each set includes a wooden card stand and a handful of gems to decorate your desk. It is meant for the user to see it in a prominent place and switch out the cards as needed.
The decks were given away in a swag bag at a celebration dinner held in Chicago.
They were digitally printed with soft-touch coating and silver foil at a local printer, 360 Digital Print.
