3D Model of a Vintage alarm clock
This project was created using Autodesk 3D Max 2022, leveraging its robust modeling, animation, and rendering capabilities. To achieve the intricate details and realistic textures on the vintage alarm clock, I utilized the built-in Arnold renderer for high-quality visual output. Additionally, the Graphite Modeling Tools were instrumental in crafting the complex geometries of the clock.
Highlighted Skills:
3D Modeling:
This project put my 3D modeling skills to the test, requiring the creation of a detailed and structurally sound model of a vintage alarm clock. Each component, from the casing to the individual gears inside, was meticulously modeled to be both historically accurate and visually compelling. This process demonstrated my ability to visualize and construct complex 3D objects with precision and creativity.

Texturing:
Applying textures to the alarm clock was a crucial step in bringing the model to life. I employed a combination of procedural textures and high-resolution image maps to achieve a realistic appearance. Special attention was given to the metal parts, ensuring they reflected the age and wear you'd expect on a vintage piece. This skill was pivotal in adding depth, realism, and a touch of nostalgia to the model.

Animation:
The animation of the hammer swinging and hitting the bells was one of the project's highlights. Using Autodesk 3D Max's advanced animation tools, I was able to create a believable and smooth motion that accurately mimicked the mechanics of an actual alarm clock. This aspect of the project showcased my ability to animate objects in a way that feels natural and coherent with the physical laws of motion.

Attention to Detail:
The success of this project hinged on my meticulous attention to detail. Every aspect of the vintage alarm clock, from the design of the bells to the texture of the metal, was researched and replicated with the utmost accuracy. This dedication to detail ensured that the final model was not only a faithful representation of a vintage alarm clock but also a piece that stands out for its craftsmanship and authenticity.
