Youth Action Hubs Brazil

The Youth Action Hubs, an initiative by the United Nations, aims to inspire and incentivize young leaders globally to drive positive change within their communities. The project emphasizes becoming catalysts for sustainability, thinking on a global scale, and taking local actions to empower the younger generation in shaping a brighter and more sustainable future.

Branding:
Develop a distinctive and impactful brand identity that resonates with the spirit of youth leadership, sustainability, and global impact. The brand should embody the energy and passion of young change-makers while aligning with the prestigious image of the United Nations. Trough research, personas e interviews, a baseline was defined for the rest of the project.

Editorial System:
Create a cohesive editorial system that ensures consistency and clarity in communication across various platforms. This system should seamlessly integrate with the brand identity and effectively convey the values, mission, and achievements of the Youth Action Hubs initiative.

Visual Identity:
Design a visually compelling identity that encapsulates the essence of the initiative. Incorporate elements that symbolize youth empowerment, global connectivity, and sustainable action. The visual identity should be adaptable for use across diverse mediums, including digital platforms, print materials, and promotional merchandise.
In alignment with UN's protocol, the decision was made to retain the existing logo while introducing alternative versions designed to better resonate with the target audience. Given the absence of any pre-existing visual identity materials, the creative process began by defining the central theme of "Youth."

Four distinct directions of engagement were proposed, representing the diverse points at which young leaders intersect with sustainability. Each direction was assigned a color from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) wheel, creating a meaningful and visually cohesive connection to global sustainability efforts.
Implementation of the new editorial system successfully cultivated a vibrant and energetic voice, resonating with the activist spirit of the audience. This transformation was achieved through a creative writing process that harnessed the unique expertise of each individual member, bringing their distinct personalities to the forefront of the communication strategy.

The content, meticulously crafted and curated by the Communications Team, now seamlessly navigates through a predefined process, enhancing agility and collaboration between the writing team and social media personnel. This structured workflow ensures a smooth and efficient transition from ideation to dissemination, allowing for timely and coordinated communication across various platforms.
The Youth Action Hubs initiative initiated with lax operational guidelines, but the proactive Youth Action Hubs Brazil team took the lead, establishing governance, projects, and a reinvigorated project branding. This visual identity system has become a benchmark, influencing other YAH teams, as well as diverse projects such as the Youth Action Day events and the Decade of Action program.
