The theme of my Master's final project is to seek, develop and display
a connection between generations through musical tastes. Based on
the idea of the nostalgia music can cause, this proyect seeks to prove
the existence of this link between family members.
The appropriation of the term "DNA" arises from the project's theme:
the intergenerational connection through music. From the scientific point of view,
DNA contains essential genetic instructions for the development of living organisms
and is responsible for the transmission of these instructions through heritage.
This project suggests that taste in music works just the same, necessarily and naturally.
The first phase of this project consists of a series of short commercials lasting
10 to 15 seconds. Each commercial will present a video of a family situation.
On this video, a visualization of augmented reality will show the link in musical
tastes among the family member and how their connections develop.

The second phase of this project consists of a mobile application that allows users to
connect through their musical tastes with those of a family member through a visualization
of data. Users must log in using their account on MuchMusic, Facebook or Twitter.
The user can choose to connect with one or more persons or connect others.
Once logged in, the user can start creating their connections (screenshots above).
At first users can connect with someone else or can connect other users.

The visualization (below) is created as an animated 'scroll' screen that allows
the user to view the data, which is produced according to the data collected
from social networks and may vary depending on the information available.
