"Green of Silence" is the debut album of the trio led by double bassist & composer Grigoris Theodoridis.
The starting point for the design was the title of the album, with the main inspiration being the style of the group's music: the abstract and asymmetric compositions, the strong presence of improvisation, a hovering sense of mystery.
The cover was created using the cyanotype technique (sunprint), where actual objects were placed on photosensitive paper and exposed using sunlight. The desired green hue was achieved afterwards through digital processing.
The artwork combines the organic element in colors and textures on its exterior, with the white color, representing the “pause”, on the interior. The contrast between natural evolution and the freezing of time...
