Mae Ly Lim's profile

Hibernia REG, Sustainability Report

Whilst with Hibernia I had the pleasure of working first hand with the Director of Sustainability to produce the 2022 Sustainability Report for a publicly listed company as a member of the reporting team.

I gained experience with stringent Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) reporting practices. This included performance benchmarks such as the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmarking (GRESB) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification.
My experience as an intern was included as a reflection piece (See pg. 40)
Other international reporting buildings standards I was exposed to included

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), the green buildings rating system.
WELL building standard, the human health and wellness building standard.
WiredScore, relating to digital buildings infrastructure.
Building Efficiency Resources (BER) for energy efficiency.

I assisted the Sustainability Director in the formulation of a robust social sustainability strategy for all future developments and managed properties for a whole life cycle approach.

This strategy was informed by four principle focus areas
1) Education and Skills
2) Civic Pride
3) Charity Partnerships
Throughout my time at Hibernia I also assisted the Development Team and the Sustainability Director in commencing the first whole-life social impact assessment with the Clanwilliam Quarter.

The purpose of this assessment was to inform evidence-led decisions about what creates social value and enhanced the companies ability to generate positive social impact.
