Access to abortion is protection and respect for the human rights of those who can become pregnant. In Italy, abortion is linked only to the right to health, not to self-determination. Women can have an abortion only if they have circumstances in which their physical or mental health would be seriously compromised.
In order to achieve social and gender justice Hey Jane in collaboration with the Gazzetta dello sport, the most widely circulated newspaper in homes and in social circles in Italy, tells the stories of “Uncensored injury”, athletes who tell their story experience with abortion in relation to their sporting career, to open a dialogue on a still hidden sporting reality. All during the Giro d'Italia, an occasion in which the country is naturally tinged with pink.

In Italia l’aborto è legato solo al diritto alla salute, non all’autodeterminazione. Le donne possono abortire solo se si trovano in circostanze in cui la loro salute fisica o mentale sarebbe seriamente compromessa.
Per ottenere giustizia sociale e di genere Hey Jane in collaborazione con la Gazzetta dello sport, il quotidiano più diffuso nelle case e negli ambienti sociali in Italia, racconta le storie di “Uncensored injury”, atlete che raccontano la loro esperienza con l'aborto in rapporto alla propria carriera sportiva, per aprire un dialogo su una realtà sportiva ancora nascosta. Il tutto durante il Giro d'Italia, occasione in cui il Paese si tinge naturalmente di rosa.
