Project Challenge: To design a rustic, simple, yet sophisticated brand logo for Hilton Hotel's rooftop bar, Urban Oak, located in downtown Raleigh North Carolina.

Project Solution: After several iterations of logo designs (many not shown below), Hilton's brand oversight committee ultimately decided on the logo they felt captured the perfect balance of "rustic sophistication" they were after. 

The design was influenced by a fire branded lid of an aged oak bourbon barrel. The capital letter forms U and O taken from the logo wording, were narrowed and intertwined to create a stand alone brand icon. This brand icon is intended to be used with the logo wording, or without.
