Sua missão é fornecer um ambiente em que a Teologia possa ser estudada a partir de uma epistemologia que reconheça a importância decisiva da Espiritualidade e da Mística, possibilitando um pensar livre, critico e criativo, que contribua com a Vida. Sua visão é ser uma instituição teológica protestante academicamente rigorosa, espiritualmente profunda e pastoralmente saudável.

O símbolo do pássaro tem como inspiração a história escrita pelo teólogo e educador Rubem Alves, denominada “A menina e o pássaro encantado”. O LabTEM busca promover um ambiente de reflexão profunda sobre teologia, espiritualidade e mística. Buscando voos simbólicos, o laboratório fomenta o diálogo interdisciplinar, incentivando a busca por significado e conexão espiritual em meio às complexidades da existência.
