Archi-Type Posters
Typographic posters offering denotative and connotative interpretations of the Italian architect, Carlo Scarpa. The denotative poster presents biographical information in a hierarchical manner with concentration focused on legibility and information organization. The second poster, the connotative poster, was designed in a more expressive nature meant to convey the essence Scarpa as an architect - i.e. his ability to take traditional elements and place them in a modern manner, his love for geometry, texture and harmony, etc. The typeface, Optima, was also chosen to represent Scarpa's traditional yet modern artistic style.
