BACKSTORY
Legenda Sungai Sangi is a legend based in Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia. This story is about a skilled hunter, whose name is Sangi.
One day when Sangi went to hunt, something unusual happened. He secretly peeked and saw a gigantic snake gulping down a boar. Sangi was caught peeking. That huge snake turned Sangi into a fake snake and forced him to do what they failed.
Sangi has received the advantage of being well-preserved even if years have gone by, but he shouldn't tell the secret, or else he will turn into a real snake.
150 years have passed, and all of Sangi's descendants are curious about his secret. Soon, Sangi grows furious and accidentally revealed the secret. His human skin is burning and scales grew out from it. He realized he had done something he shouldn't, and blamed all of his descendants.
Full of wrath, Sangi took the antique vase he used to save gold from all over the years and stormed to the river. End of the story, Sangi has become the guardian snake of the river.
