Rim-Lit spotted deer against the bright morning sun. We waited patiently for him to walk into the light from the shadows.
This image is extremely close to my heart as it's my first head-on experience of a tiger in the wild. 7 safaris breezed through with plenty of sightings but nothing as good as my 8th and last safari at Ranthambore. After searching for 2 hours in anguish, the first glimpse of tiger was seen. All jeeps were lined up on the safari tracks waiting for the tiger, and our jeep decided to distance ourself from all the commotion. Plenty of screaming inside my head as I felt angry for missing the tiger. Time passed by and suddenly, engines turned on.........NOOR came out of the bushes, onto the safari tracks by crossing all the vehicles and decided to walk ahead of the commotion. THERE SHE WAS, WALKING RIGHT TOWARDS US...ONLY US , the ADRENALINE PEAKED...Anger turned to confusion as I still couldn't fathom as to what happened. Minutes later, I got into the zone and clicked this image.
NOOR, HEAD-ON , WALKING GRACEFULLY.
The Queen is small when compared to the vastness of the jungle surrounding her......
In search of Big-Cats, I photographed a Crested Hawk-Eagle. Going around the zone in the canter, seated next to the driver for the best sighting, I saw a flash, something the size of a Raptor flew in front of us in a distance. Once we were around the location, I asked the driver to stop, and searched for the bird. Beautifully camouflaged against the thickets, the bird was spotted, the sun gave it away when the golden eyes shined bright in the canopy.

After stopping by a lake at Bandhavgarh, I closed my eyes to listen to the bird chirps around. Upon hearing a specific bird call, I took out my camera with a smile knowing it was a kingfisher and pointed at the exact direction where it was resting.
After a long wait at a waterhole for tigers, I started to look for frames and was previsualizing images. During the process, this Rufous Treepie landed out of the blue on this branch against a bokeh background.

Spot-Breasted Fantail against the bokeh like greenery.
Eye to Eye. A Spotted Deer in the morning light staring into the camera and the individual behind the camera benefitting the most with it's rim-lit antlers.
