A laminated plywood chair for the education market
I designed this chair to meet the demands of the inner city education system, and styled it with a timeless aesthetic. Strength and durability are requirements, but tamper-proof hardware are key for longevity in a high-use environment. Laminated maple was used for a clean, classic look. A cast iron hinge mechanism with an injection molded plastic cover keeps the folding seat mechanism out of harm’s way and prevents tampering.
