Our brand vision was underpinned by the desire that every interaction should be easy, informative, engaging, rewarding, personal, consistent, and authentic.

We wanted to to create a design solution that was a direct reflection of the vibrant and collaborative SAP community.
Digital Vision
Our aim was to create an atomic design framework which can be used in a myriad of ways. This suite of design components is supplemented by a solid set of design guidance that will allow enhancement and evolution by future SAP teams.

Speech bubbles
Conversation and the transfer of knowledge are key to the SAP community, therefore we felt it is fitting that we should echo this through the use of speech bubbles as an own-able brand element.

Illustration Style
We evolved the existing SAP illustrations to incorporate the wider brand colour palette that had been developed. Allowing freedom in both line and block colour has resulted in a refined yet playful illustration set.

In addition to illustrations we also utilised the visual abstraction of code. The use of code and symbols was primarily developed as a key design asset for ‘SAP developer’ but as there are many crossovers between the ‘SAP Developer’ and ‘SAP Community’ we felt it made sense that they were incorporated into the of range brand elements at our disposal.
Real people
Rather than use models or rely entirely on stock photography we decided to use the real people who contribute to the vibrant SAP Community. These people when cut out and placed on branded backgrounds are as unique and own-able as any other SAP Brand asset.
