For this project, the visual identity of IHOP was rebranded. The key objective was to give an elegant feel to the currently humble restaurant. One of the key challenges of this project was to keep the new sophisticated look aligned with the simple designer, Paul Rand. Using his typography as inspiration I have created a new logo for the restaurant. The new logo features clean and swift lines that Rand would typically combine in his works. In addition to the logo redesign, the brand identity also involved updating the color palette and reviving the atmosphere. This involved incorporating softer and more sophisticated colors, such as bright pink and dark brown to create tension between sophistication and playfulness. The high end restaurant specializes in brunch. This includes their famous gourmet pancakes, breakfast food, and mimosa/drinks.

New Logo Created using two fonts that combined thin and block letters. I also added motifs of whipped cream in letters O and H to allude to pancakes.
