The book “Being a Man in Central Asia” was presented in Astana. This is a collection of stories about men in Central Asia. Fathers, brothers, sons, husbands, mentors talk about their paths and share life lessons.

This book was developed with financial support from the regional program of the Ray of Light Initiative for Central Asia, commissioned by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The presentation included an exhibition with portraits of the book's heroes - Central Asian men.

According to the authors, they wanted examples of conscious parenting and responsibility to provide inspiration and resource, self-esteem and self-confidence to other men as well. A man's role as a husband and father is not only important for his wife and children - it allows him to identify himself in this world and ultimately find himself and be happy.
