My Picture of Divinity (Wildlife)

"My Picture of Divinity" is a search for the godliness that lies in the relationship between humble lifeforms and magnificent systems of sustenance. It is an attempt to overwrite the conventional portraitures of Gods that centralised humans, while all the legendary powers they invented were inspired from the ways of the wild. 'MPoD' is a tribute to the true ancestors, the teachers, the deities of the art of thriving.
01. TURTLE & the SEA

My picture of divinity lies in the pensive submission of sea turtles to the rhythm and pace of the ocean, which renders her with ageless wisdom and generous longevity. Both gods and devils have trusted just her to hold a long breath of harmony amidst the toil of churning for continuance.
02. WOODPECKER & the AILING TREE

My picture of divinity lies in the miraculous awareness of the forest as one body ‑ how organisms are organs, divided by skin but unified in consciousness, form an invincible body that has survived for a million years and will survive a million more.
03. HORNBILL & the FIG TREE

My picture of divinity lies in the mythical ways of a forest, which only short‑sightedness will identify as ungenerous and bewitching.
04. TIGER & the FOREST

My picture of divinity lies in the heart of a forest, where dense leaves are murmuring to the soil and waving to the winds, and the clouds are huddling up to hide, how fire of the sun moulds into water droplets.
05. OWL & the NIGHT

My picture of divinity lies in a fearless sight of the night. The perpetual gaze of the Owl at a brimming darness. It's binocular vision soaring through the mess of forms into the massive clarity of the universe.
06. VULTURE & the DEAD

My picture of divinity lies in how death to one is food (life) to another and that there is no real death.
07. FROG & the RAIN

My picture of divinity lies in the beautifully scripted unison of air, water and earth that smells of love and fullfilment.
08. LEOPARD & the CROPLAND

My Picture of Divinity lies in the blurring boundaries between the civil and the wild, where all the inhabitants share and hold dear, the same land and values and rivers.
09. COBRA & the EARTH

My picture of divinity lies under the dark and dense of melting clouds, where the earth under a thousand canopies, smells of fertility.
