For over two decades, I have been creating a holiday card for friends and family that involves the adventures of my children.

Based on the Hardy Boys series that influenced so much of my own early reading habits, this series started out as a whim. It quickly evolved into a game that we would play together on our fall road trips.

For the last couple of years, it has been a bit of a challenge. The kids are now young men, with lives outside of the family homestead.

I always ask them, "What do you think? Should we do another Rocketboy and Gears Adventure Book?"

And, so far, every year, the answer has been a resounding "Yes!"
