EMBRACING INSTRUMENTAL TONE COLORS
The album design beautifully resonates with the soul of each instrument, skillfully capturing their unique features while infusing a modern touch through geometric graphics. The keyboard of the harpsichord, the traditional bamboo flute's delicate pipes, the elegant gourd shape of the hulusi, the graceful bridge of the zheng, the iconic horse head of the morin khuur, as well as the window resonator of the erhu and the pipa's exquisite head, are all artistically depicted.
本專輯的概念設計是以「即興貳拾壹Cadenzas 21 ’」樂團中的11種樂器，其中包括口簧、鼻笛、葫蘆絲、笛、簫、大鍵琴、琵琶、二胡、箏、馬頭琴、 烏德琴與崑曲、呼麥等2種演唱方式出發，並融合紙雕藝術設計，詮釋整張專輯多元文化風格的主題。
Notably, the cover design ingeniously incorporates the strings and rosette of an oud, further accentuating the instruments' inherent beauty and achieving seamless harmony with the paper art structure. This exceptional fusion of musical aesthetics and paper art design truly elevates the album's worth, making it a captivating treasure for music enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
HIGHLIGHTING INSTRUMENT UNIQUENESS
Drawing inspiration from the 11 instruments of Ensemble Cadenzas 21's, this album showcases a captivating paper art design that harmoniously weaves together various musical elements. It features the enchanting sounds of kuanqu opera, as well as the distinctive tones of the nose flute, hulusi, dizi, xiao, and jew's harp.
Adding to the musical tapestry are the masterful performances of pipa and oud musicians, each bringing their unique styles to the mix. Furthermore, the paper art design ingeniously combines the harpsichord with the mesmerizing zheng, and seamlessly blends the bow string instruments of erhu, morin khuur, and khoomei.
Through this innovative fusion of sounds and the captivating paper art design, the album becomes an expressive interpretation of diverse cultural styles. Each track resonates with the essence of its respective heritage, creating a cohesive and richly diverse musical journey throughout the entire collection.
設計內容上，擷取了各項樂器的局部特色，並以幾何圖形呈現出世界音樂的現代感，像是二胡的「音窗」、琵琶的「琴頭」，封面更是採用烏德琴的「響孔」作為主要視覺，既表現出樂器本身美麗的優點，也與紙雕結構做完美的結合。
PAPER ART, ACCORDION BINDING, BILINGUAL
The most crucial aspect of the entire album is the paper art design created through five consecutive illustrations. These illustrations seamlessly blend diverse musical cultures and capture the atmospheric ambiance of the performers, starting with the traditional Kunqu opera from the Central Plains and concluding with the mesmerizing throat singing on the grasslands.
全專最重要的部分是由五張連續插畫製作的紙雕設計，插畫中融合了多元的樂曲文化，演奏者彈奏的氛圍，以中原的崑曲開始，隨著各式異國風情的旋律，最後到草原上的呼麥結束。整體結構採用立體書的方式呈現，結合經折裝的特色，呈現中英對照的文案內容。
The overall structure of the design utilizes the format of a pop-up book, combined with the unique features of accordion binding, presenting bilingual content in Chinese and English.
