Elegant microsite conveys expertise in travel luxury

Beautiful photography showcases expertise in creating stunning destinations

3north had an unique opportunity to present their work to a large hospitality client, but was in the process of updating their entire website. To convey the expertise of the firm and their successes to date, the internal team collaborated to quickly and efficiently utilize existing photography for maximum impact online and minimal effort and cost.

The team made very deliberate design choices to keep the viewer focused and engaged. A simple, sophisticated WordPress theme (ThemeForest's NASH) was selected to keep photos primary in the hierarchy, while text elements were subtle yet clear. It was also selected to take advantage of the responsive HTML5 benefits, one site for multiple platforms.

This site is currently active, and can be viewed here.
After vertically scrolling past the home page, an orange navigation bar remains fixed at the top of the browser, keeping the 3north name visible at all times and privides a quick jump back to the start. A full screen "hero" image grounds the project page with just a few lines of text for more story.
When the viewer chooses to "See more," an image gallery opens to share detailed images from the project.
As the viewer clicks through a basic slideshow, they delve deeper into the project "story" with photographic detail.
Because the microsite link was often sent via email as a follow-up after prospecting calls, it was important to have basic information about the firm within this gallery, in the event that the link be forwarded to others.
