TATAR BESTIARY
The Tatar Bestiary is a unique layer of the cultural heritage of the Tatar people, which is
a collection of mythological and fabulous creatures.This bestiary has been formed over many centuries and includes both global images and unique Tatar characters.
In the Tatar bestiary you can meet such characters as Zilant, Su Anasy, Ak Bars, Shurale and Bichura. Each of these characters has its own unique features and abilities.

ТАТАРСКИЙ БЕСТИАРИЙ
Татарский бестиарий - это уникальный пласт культурного наследия татарского народа, который представляет собой собрание мифологических и сказочных существ. Этот бестиарий формировался на протяжении многих веков и включает
в себя как общемировые образы, так и уникальные татарские персонажи.
В татарском бестиарии можно встретить таких персонажей как Зилант, Су Анасы,
Ак Барс, Шурале и Бичура. Каждый из этих персонажей имеет свои уникальные особенности и способности.
SHURALE (tat. «Шүрәле»)
A mythical creature of Tatar fairy tales. Shurale is the spirit of the forest. It is described
as a humanoid forest creature, covered with long hair and having only one horn on its forehead. He loved to lure people into his forest and tickle them to death.
ШУРАЛЕ (тат. «Шүрәле»)
Мифическое существо татарских сказок. Шурале является духом леса. Его описывают как человекоподобное лесное существо, поросшего длинной шерстью
и имеющего всего один рог на лбу. Он любил заманивать к себе в лес людей
и щекотать их до смерти.
SU ANASI (tat. «СУ АНАСЫ»)
It is a type of water spirits, which is also called the "mother of water".
Her image is presented in a fabulous poem by the Tatar writer Gabdulla Tukai.
She likes to comb her hair for a long time with a golden comb and drown people.

Является разновидностью водных духов, которую также называют как «мать воды». Её образ представлен в сказочной поэме татарского писателя Габдуллы Тукая.
Она любит расчесывать подолгу свои волосы золотым гребнем и топить людей.
ZILANT
Tatar legends describe the mythical creature Zilant
as the king of all beasts. According to an ancient Kazan legend, Zilant lived
on the mountain near the Kazanka River, which later became known as the Zilantova Mountain. He is depicted on the coat of arms of Tatarstan.
ЗИЛАНТ
Татарские легенды описывают мифическое существо Зилант
как царя всех зверей. Согласно древней казанской легенде, Зилант жил
на горе у реки Казанки, которая впоследствии стала называться Зилантовой горой. Он изображен на гербе Татарстана.
