I shot years ago the ficus trees that adorn the Parque de las Gloriettas in Valencia (Spain), These trees have complex shapes that reminded me of the human body, both in its beauty but also in its raw, mysterious organic aspect. By manipulating these shots I came to something that in my opinion highlights our complex relation with nudity. You can focus on the sensuality, on the soft curves and textures as you would with nude photography or you can go to the extreme, where the most "in your face" pornography meets the type of images you would find in a medical dictionary. Our fascination covers the whole spectrum as well, as seen in all types of fetishes, body hacking, etc...

Recently, Jose Maria Sancho made me a great favor in taking much better shots than I would have done myself. These will hopefully someday develop into a much wider series than my original shots shown here.
