MOTIVATION
During my master's, I began to question the traditional methods of doing user research. It seemed to me that putting everything in the same model caused the loss of richer and deeper layers of human beings, making it harder to really empathize with people. Therefore, I proposed to myself to carry out an exploration of other ways to do this without a clear framework since my goal was to let myself be guided by the participants in order to learn or unlearn about other ways to empathize with people.
INSPIRATIONS
My first inspiration was the toy designer Cas Holman, who is known for stimulating creativity through unstructured play in kids. In the context of their work, kids follow their imagination rather than instructions.
My second inspiration was the world of robotic toys, pocket-size computers, and intuitive drag-and-drop coding artifacts. So, after a music Dojo with some colleagues, I decided to try my exploration using the modular synthesizer LittleBits.
