2023 SKODA SUPERB | INTERIOR DESIGN
The Superb has been my first complete production interior within Skoda. As the flagship of the brand, my concept was to evoke calmness and spaciousness. The horizontal lines, the «wing shape» dashboard theme and hidden vents are supporting this idea.
To evoke a calm design was passing by hiding the airvents as best as possible, in order to hide greyzones and functional elements. This was one of the most challenging part of this project, where the vents had to obviously stay silents and fully functional. Playing closed to the technic to develop a decorative airvent based on the koanda principle was for us the best alternative.
Following the «form follows function» axiom, the dashboard volume has been sculpted to integrate the hand support, for a better screen usage. The smart dials are here to provide the best and safest experience while driving; by mixing digital and haptic control.
