I used an image I personally took and input it into Illustrator. I used an 8.5 x 11 artboard and placed the photo I took and resized it into the artboard. I then used the image trace tool to vectorize the image and then recolored various parts of it to make different color palettes.
I duplicated my artboard and began my first color palette choice. I chose to do a winter theme. I went to the recolor tool and adjusted each color on the image to emulate snow and the coldness of winter. I used lots of blues and tried to use colors that made it appear there was snow on the trees and bushes. By leaning towards a more monochromatic scheme of blue, it emphasized the coldness of winter.
I duplicated my artboard again and began my second color palette choice. I chose to do a spring theme. I used the recolor tool and adjusted each color on the image to emulate the vibrance of spring as the trees and plants tend to turn greener and grow back. I used lots of vibrant greens and tried to use colors that made it appear more lively than the original image. With a more vibrant color palette, I was able to showcase the spring theme in this image
I repeated the same process of duplicating my artboard. I chose to do a Fall theme for this image. I recolored most of the leaves and trees into an orange/brown as Fall is usually associated with warm colors like brown and orange. I also tried to make the sky slightly warmer by adding a little yellow tint to the sky. The use of orange and browns really demonstrate the theme of Fall on this image.
