This is my Illustration project which features poems from artists that are inspired by absinthe.
All Illustrations are by watercolor and coloder pencils.
The inspirations for the illustrations come from art nouveau era, which to me perfectly suits the theme and feel of the poems itself.
LA FEE VERTE means “green fairy”, which is the common name for absinthe. In the age of art nouveau, this alcoholic drink gained it’s popularity, especially among artists and writers ( such as Toulouse Lautrec, Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, ect.) for (in the olden days) absinthe is highly addictive and said can cause hallucinations, or so to speak.
