Klein und Fein: Weihnachten modern interpretiert
This short-term project’s theme is to create a Christmas gift made of wood. The idea was inspired from one of the oldest churches in christendom is the church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. It is UN World Heritageste, the first in Palestine. It was constructed over the traditional site of the birthplace of jesus, a cave below the church.
There is a simple altar and there on the floor, suppasedly over the very spot of his birth, is a fourteen pointed silver star.
The idea was to create from this star a wall key holder for a family for example so they can hang their keys next to their door when they come home and at the same time a nice keyring made of wood to keep your keys all together.
The shape of the design takes inspiration from the bauhaus era style.
