Dancing crows around Icarus' failure frame his inevitable end: the hand now burned and still on fire carries within itself the glow of ambition and achievement of the goal, which still vividly vibrate in the main character's final act. This glow is the representation of that side of human nature that often collides with the inability of achieving a purpose and the awareness of not succeeding in it, the same attitude however still proceeds with stubbornness and confidence in its path, even at the expense of failure. This figurative defeat  stands out on a dawn sky, intentionally in sharp contrast with the allegory, the dawn that brings hope of rebirth, Icarus will never see it again.
