colour in the culture of choice to develop creative typographic solution.
Indigo dyeing was also followed by a stitching technique called 'Sashiko', which not only beautifully decorated the fabrics, but also strengthened them. One of the more popular Sashiko patterns 'wave' has been used to design a grid, which is the base of the new alphabet. Based on this grid I was able to extract many different version of each letter which allows to create different and unique type combination.
