NOMINAL CITIES
Every modern city has their own unique structure. When a new building is constructed, it needs to fit into its enviroment, it needs to be in style with the buildings surrounding it. In my series, I used Photoshop to generate new sections for certain cities based on their townscapes. A function called content-aware allows me to create new features on the selected image parts based on a given algorithm. This way I expand the cities, adding spaces and buildings, which follow the previous structures and cityscape. The created image is like the texture of the city. At the first sight the images look real - in detail however, they are a tangle of impossible structures.
