The set of 15 icons was designed to convey the essence of travel and cultural immersion by capturing travel memories. As someone who has lived abroad and travelled extensively, I appreciate the importance of preserving memories and broadening one's perspective. These icons are intended for travellers who are more than simple tourists but are interested in learning about the culture and gaining experiences. The icons capture vacations, long weekends, and unforgettable events, making them suitable for usage as WhatsApp/Messenger photos, stickers, or even airport gifts. The applied syntactic trigger "divide" and selective coloring, is enabling each person's memories to fill in the gaps thus leaving it open for interpretation. Finally, the goal is to provide a sentimental touchstone that acts as a reminder of the memories and experiences through a T-shirt design. I wanted to extend the notion of merging abstract pictures into typography. Each typographic letter represented a portion of one of the 15 icons. The sailboat emblem was my favourite and became the major motif, recalling childhood sailing marathons in Malawi. The additional icons were placed around the boat and were merged into the font.
