Background

젊은이와 달리 노인들은 신체적, 정신적 노화로 인해 평범한 일상을 유지하는 일에도 많은 어려움을 겪습니다.

특히, 독거 노인 가구는 치매 발병 경각심이 높고 어느 정도 건강에 관심이 있지만 다양한 이유 (ex. 경제적 어려움, 거동 불편, 증상이 가벼움 etc)로 인해 병의원 치료율이 낮아, 만성질환 유병률이 상대적으로 높은 건강 관리 행태를 보입니다. 뿐만 아니라 노년기가 심화될수록 노화, 사별 등의 이유로 독거 노인의 사회적 관계망이 해체되며, 대부분의 독거 노인들은 운동이나 외출 대신 TV 시청에 하루 대부분의 시간을 쓰는 경우가 많습니다.

2020년도 보건복지부 주관 노인실태조사에 따르면, 10,097명의 노인 중 96.6%가 TV시청 또는 라디오를 청취하는 것으로 나타났습니다. 그중에서도 특히 독거 노인 가구는 TV 장기 시청자 중 가장 많은 비율을 차지하고 있습니다. 또한, 통계청의 2020-2050 장래가구추계에 따르면 이런 독거 노인 가구는 2050년까지 현재의 2배 넘게 증가할 것으로 예측됩니다.

때문에 최근 전통적인 역할인 방송 송신기의 역할과 가전으로의 의미 뿐만 아니라, 일상 속에서 더 다양한 역할과 형태로 확장되고 있는 TV HUB와 독거 노인의 일상 및 건강 관리 기능을 결합해, 독거 노인과 사회의 행복한 공존을 위한 솔루션을 제안하고자 합니다.

Unlike young people, the elderly also have a lot of difficulties maintaining their normal daily lives due to their physical and mental aging.

In particular, elderly households living alone are highly alert to develop dementia and are interested in health to some extent, but their treatment rates are low due to various reasons (ex. economic difficulties, mobility difficulties, light symptoms, etc.), showing a relatively high prevalence of chronic diseases. In addition, as old age deepens, the social network of the elderly living alone is dismantled for reasons such as aging and bereavement, and most elderly people living alone often spend most of the day watching TV instead of exercising or going out.

According to a survey of senior citizens conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (Republic of Korea) in 2020, 96.6% of 10,097 senior citizens watch TV or listen to radio. Among them, In the case of long-term TV viewers, the proportion of elderly households living alone was the highest. In addition, according to the National Statistical Office's 2020-2050 Future Household Estimation, the number of elderly households living alone is expected to more than double the current level by 2050.

Therefore, I would like to propose a solution for the happy coexistence of the elderly living alone and society by combining TV HUB, which has recently expanded into more diverse roles and forms in everyday life, as well as the role of broadcast transmitter and the meaning of home appliances.

개인의 일상 유지를 위해 하루 리마인드를 도와주는 TV 허브와 일상 중 사용자 접촉을 통해 건강 상태를 체크해주는 리모컨은 사용자의 삶에 자연스럽게 녹아들어 일상 유지를 돕습니다. 이를 통해 독거 노인 사용자는 노화로 인한 일상 유지 부담을 덜고, 독거 노인의 가족 및 지인들의 걱정을 덜어줍니다.
