Complex Concentrates believes that the art of cannabis cultivation and extraction lies in the delicate balance between science and nature, and we agree. Our approach was guided by this statement -- a balance between organic and technical styles; flowing yet measured, abstract yet organized, these were our keywords in coming up with an elegant design solution.

Complex wanted to highlight their scientific approach to cultivation and extraction, while having a fresh, approachable look. We were always drawn to the visual impact of lava lamps, and this came to mind when representing both a fun kind of science (nostalgia from children's science experiment TV shows), and the idea of concentrates and concentrated liquids, to not come off as intimidating. Everything else resulted from playing around and experimentation, to humanize and soften the strict precision with which Complex operates, resulting in that delicate balance.
