LUNAR YEAR (2023)
This artwork consists of the appearance of a single point within a zone of aligned coordinates, at the intersection between rows and columns. Its appearance depends on a generative variable through a noise algorithm, and its visualization depends on the amount of light and exposed color.
The first stage of this project involves drawing the trajectory between one point and its subsequent appearance in space. The emission light is white and very simple in expression, following the parameters of ambient noise or BPM synchronization if considered in a musical environment. The variation involves modifying the life expectancy of the trajectory between points. The development consists of the movement of everything drawn, in vertical directions and towards the camera, moving away or getting closer.
Variations include the interspersion of shadows applied to the trajectories using the stroboscope technique. The project is completed by incorporating color and a haze effect, as well as a “jumping” movement, delivered and manually altered through turbulence parameters in the X-axis.
By alternating these effects, a complete artwork is achieved, suitable for each context, sometimes maintaining a stable and indecisive rhythm.
