El Camino de Santiago II
As I embarked on my second El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, I decided to view this ancient trail through a different lens - the lens of minimalism. The Camino, renowned for its spiritual significance and natural beauty, became an opportunity to capture the serene and unassuming landscapes that often go unnoticed.
Walking each day with my phone in hand, I sought out simplicity and beauty in the ordinary. A lone tree reaching towards the sky, weathered stone walls, ancient bridges, and play of light and shadow on the trail became my subjects. Each photograph aimed to distill the essence of the Camino – a timeless path where nature and human presence coexist harmoniously.
My journey became a dual discovery – of the self and the world around me. Through minimalism, I learned to appreciate the subtleties of life's landscapes, finding beauty in the understated and the serene. The photographs I captured serve as a visual diary of this transformative experience, reminding us that true beauty often lies in the minimalist landscapes that surround us, waiting to be seen by those with open eyes and open hearts.
