Ustianochka Design and Marketing

Ustianochka is a premium vodka imported from Russia and only sold in Western Pennsylvania liquor stores, primarily Pittsburgh.  At Andrea Husarova Design, we took on all marketing and design responsibilies to help make people aware of the product and kick start sales.
With the high traffic in social media lately, we knew it was important that we create a Facebook page for Ustianochka.  We kept fans updated on upcoming tastings, events, news, and recipes.  We promoted our featured bartenders and restaurants and connected with locals interested in our product.
Every month, I updated the drink recipe and bartender sections on the Ustianochka website, which feature drinks from our monthly featured bartenders and beautiful pictures from our photoshoots for which we collaborated with photographer Adam Milliron.
Online marketing strategies were very important in our campaign.  We ran a monthly contest for a gift certificate to our featured restaurant of the month.  This strategy helped us to gain connections with places who serve or would like to serve Ustianochka, as well as excite consumers and gain contacts in our email list.
We quickly realized that adding the personal touch of local tasting events was very crucial to increasing sales.  We networked with people, provided iPads to use to enter the monthly contest, and most importantly, showed the consumers first hand how to enjoy Ustianochka the Russian way!
Above is the banner we designed for tastings so that we became more easily recognized to consumers and for easy access to contest codes for those who visited our booth.

One of our designs for our promotional cards for our tasting booth.  This one above was used for those who wanted to enter the contest by filling out their information manually. Below are card layouts created for those who chose the Facebook, text, or website option.  
New drink ideas, whether they are related to current trends or starting a new trend, are popular and vital for drawing attention on social media and at tasting events.  This coupon above was used at a tasting event where the bar was featuring the popular Russian Mule served in engraved Ustianochka copper mugs made with Ustianochka vodka.
It is definitely important to stay up-to-date on holidays and seasons on social media when marketing a product.  I carried out a photoshoot and promoted it on Facebook for our summer drink idea.
