The White Castle is a board game depicting feudal Japan, specifically Himeji Castle, designed by Shei S & Isra C. This was both a challenging and a rewarding project as I had to develop all the artwork, including the iconography, cover, cards and other game elements. I used inspiration from Japanese woodcut and traditional imagery, but also paid special attention to make the whole look modern and stylish. Since the game is very intricate, simplicity and careful colour selection was key.

 

The game is published in French, German, Russian, Chinese, Dutch, Korean, Thai and Japanese.
