Make your mark exercise: A3 paper divided into a 5 by 6 grid. In each square space, a different pattern was added, using 3 dry techniques (Blue colouring pencil, 2B graphite pencil, fine line pen), followed by 3 wet techniques (Green felt tip marker, Copic marker, water colour marker). I used the following patterns for each square using the listed techniques.
First, I shaded in the square, performing wide strokes to get as much surface of the page as possible. I then drew some downward stroke lines, and some horizontal stroke lines. Next I sketched some diagonal lines, crossing each other. And lastly, I drew a pattern of curves, shaping to be a bubbly coral.
The patterns used showcase a variety of uses of lines and shapes. I could improve this by having a more coherent colour palette, and more patterns and drawing mediums.

2. 2B graphite pencil
