LINE is a communicating application on smartphone and computer.
LINE Stckers are images that users can send to each other as the messages itself or as the enhancement of the emotion during the conversation.
The majority of the LINE stickers are stereotypically feminine by using light, gentle colours and adorable characters; in other words, men seem to have less options than women, so I decided to create a set of stickers for my target market, Japanese men. First of all, I chose the daruma doll because it is commonly appeared as male and it can still fit the cartoonish style with other stickers. Secondly, in Japan, daruma dolls are considered as the talismans that bring luck, fortune, and prosperity. Moreover, the sphere shape can keep daruma dolls from falling when it gets pushed, so it symbolizes that it can pull himself together again and again after failure.
