CHALLENGE

Monakkan aims to transition to an online platform to expand its reach and tap into a broader customer base. The move is driven by the evolving retail landscape and the opportunity to offer a convenient shopping experience. By integrating its artisanal and sustainable brand ethos into a digital format, Monakkan seeks to maintain customer loyalty while attracting new audiences. This strategic shift is aimed at enhancing revenue streams and future-proofing the business.
SOLUTION

To address Monakkan's need for transitioning to an online platform, the solution involves creating a robust e-commerce website, implementing a data-driven social media strategy, and optimizing for SEO. This approach aims to retain current customers while attracting new ones, thus enhancing revenue and positioning Monakkan for long-term success.
APPROACH

To transition Monakkan online, my approach includes a Discovery Phase for client interviews and market research, followed by strategic planning for e-commerce and social media. Implementation involves website development, content roll-out, and SEO optimization. KPIs and customer feedback guide ongoing adjustments. This client-centered, data-driven strategy aims to expand Monakkan's reach while preserving its artisanal brand identity.
DESIGN DECISION

The existing design system was simplified and the greyscale adjusted to create a consistent dark scheme with a slight orange shine on the grey tones.

In terms of typography, the highly legible slab serif Bitter was added as a headline font to freshen things up and create a unique atmosphere that fits the Monakkan. story of Monakkan, who drove the first German train in 1835.
RESULTS

A very happy client got his state of the art multilingual website with tons of features like newsletter subscription flow, event banners and booking meetings, contact forms, blog, map, dynamic landing pages, and much more. All easily maintainable via the intuitive Webflow CMS.
