Audience:
This campaign was aimed at all South Africans who are eligible to donate blood.  Especially the busy ones who feel that they might not have enough time in their busy schedules to do so.
 
Brief:
June is Nation Blood Donation Month in South Africa. We needed to make the public aware of the fact and also encourage them to donate blood by demonstrating that it’s no big deal to take a little time out of their day to save a life.
 
Solution:
 
We asked some of South Africa’s busiest TV personalities to give up a tiny bit of their valuable time to donate blood. The twist came in when they were asked to do it during the ad breaks of their respective shows. We created AD BREAK DONATIONS. A campaign of 16 pre-recorded, tactically-placed  once-off TV spots, gave the illusion that the South African television personalities were donating blood backstage live during their shows.
